Dr Herald is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Shoulder, Elbow and Knee surgery. He completed his medical training at Sydney University in 1996 and a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine in 2000 following his research in this field. On completion of his Orthopaedic Surgery training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Herald was selected for subspecialty Shoulder, Elbow and Knee Surgery Fellowships by world-leading Orthopaedic Surgeons in Sydney, New York and at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota.

Dr Herald continues at the frontier of medical research and technology with experience in innovative procedures such as Arthroscopic Stiff Elbow Release, Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair and Double Bundle ACL Reconstruction and has published and presented in National and International Textbooks, Journals and Meetings.
