Shoulders

Common problems of the shoulder include disorders of the rotator cuff; shoulder instability (dislocations and separations); fractures of the upper end of the arm (humerus), collarbone (clavicle), and shoulder blade (scapula) and arthritic conditions of the shoulder.

Dr. Jonathan Herald treats painful shoulder conditions such as bursitis, tendonitis, calcium deposition, advanced arthritis, rotator cuff tears and frozen shoulder.

Elbows

Elbow services are for painful elbow conditions such as tennis elbow, bursitis, advanced arthritis, stiff elbow, tumours, and muscle and tendon ruptures. Our services also include management of single and recurring dislocations of the elbow. This includes fractures which vary from being very simple to very complex. Treatment or advice for nerve injuries or compressions around elbow, bone and joint infections, contractures around the elbow, sports and work-related elbow problems and complex reconstructive problems of the elbow.

Knees

Common problems of the knee are typically sports injuries like meniscal tears, ACL ruptures, and patellar dislocation. Other common problems are arthritic changes which are very painful and movement limiting. Motor vehicle accidents are also a major cause of knee trauma injuries such as fractured tibial plateau or mid shaft femoral fractures. Dr Herald chooses evidence based minimally invasive surgical techniques to achieve the best possible result for the patient.
